The blogs are buzzing with the news that the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CA) has launched a public beta test of Google Transit. An official announcement is waiting for final testing, and local reports indicate that the application still has some glitches. In the meantime, Metro has established a developer site for individuals and organizations to access route and schedule data for building third-party applications.
