Metro crash investigation finds electronic control “anomalies”

Investigators found “anomalies” in the electronic control system along the MetroRail track near the site of Monday’s fatal crash in Washington, D.C.  According to The Washington Post, “A senior Metro official knowledgeable about train operations said an internal report confirmed that the computer system appeared to have faltered.”  While the cause of the fatal accident has yet to be determined, investigators are looking at a circuit that malfunctioned during testing.
