Can your grandma’s bus do this?

Describing ways that transit keeps getting better, Reinventing Transit, a blog from the Environmental Defense Fund, talked about real-time arrival alerts: “Waiting for a bus that never comes can be an aggravating experience, but now many modern bus systems are now coordinated with GPS and real-time information systems.” To illustrate the point, the blog posted a handy list of transit agencies that provide their riders with real-time service information.  Link to list and full post in Reinventing Transit.
