Commuters on Metro-North Railroad‘s New Haven Line are taking advantage of the wisdom of the crowd. Clever Commute is a free service that enables passengers to share service updates with one another. Commuters who sign up for the ad-supported service can share information about service delays with fellow commuters via email or Twitter. Joshua Crandall started the service in 2006 and currently has 6,000 subscribers. Link to full story in New Haven Register.
