Software helps county cut energy costs

Government agencies in King County (WA) have cut personal computer energy use by 38% by installing software that reduces power  consumption when PCs sit idle for more than 15 minutes.  County officials estimate annual savings of $140,000.  Software was provided by Verdiem.  Link to full story in The Seattle Times.
