The Chicago (IL) Regional Transportation Authority unveiled its new multimodal online trip planner at the Chicago Green Festival. Unlike other trip planners, goroo allows users to compare travel itineraries using transit, driving, walking, bicycling, or a multimodal combination. “We’re very excited about this new trip planning tool that we hope will help increase transit ridership while reducing traffic congestion and air pollution,” said RTA Executive Director Steve Schlickman. “goroo equips anyone using it with valuable information that can help them save money and time, which is highly desirable during these challenging economic times.” Link to full RTA press release.
