Vice President Joe Biden announced $300 million in funding through the Clean Cities program to help government agencies to expand fleets of clean vehicles and to develop a fueling infrastructure. The Clean Cities program is a government-industry partnership led by the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The program is open to state governments, local governments, or metropolitan transit authorities; agencies must partner with a designated Clean Cities coalition. The program requires a 50% local match. Link to full story in Government Technology.
