Solar-powered bus stop debuts in Connecticut

The Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority is testing a solar-powered bus stop that can illuminate the area after dark.  Manufactured by Carmanah Technologies, each $1,400 i-Stop unit has two buttons; one illuminates the stop for a few minutes and the other flashes an LED light to signal an approaching bus to stop.
