States partner with White House to track stimulus spending

Once states decide how to spend their allotted funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, their biggest challenge will be reporting their spending data to the federal funding agencies. According to Doug Robinson, executive director of the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, “Things are moving, but there are clearly going to be challenges and some initial risks associated with how states will absorb the reporting requirements that go up through multiple federal programmatic agencies.” Link to full story at NextGov.
