Technology could help inaugural spectators navigate through the masses

Organizers for this month’s Inauguration are encouraging spectators to rely on technology to navigate through the crowded streets.  Wireless companies are warning that cell phones may be difficult to use.  Visitors are urged to use text messaging for critical communications, and they can sign up for Alert DC emergency notification.  Also available is an iPhone application that provides information about transit and parking, among other landmarks, and a Twitter page with Inauguration announcements.  Link to the full story at CBS News.
