Seventeen mashups for DC citizens

The District of Columbia government announced the winners of its Apps for Democracy contest, which encouraged developers to create useful applications for its citizens. Bay Area company brews diesel from sugar cane

SEPTA calls for smart card proposals

“SEPTA has issued its long-awaited call for bids on an ambitious new electronic “smart card” fare-collection system, with plans to award a contract in the spring. California voters approve high speed rail
